The American Massage Therapy Association’s (AMTA) National Convention took place October 24–26 in Indianapolis. Over 2,000 massage therapists gathered to take part in the largest event in the profession, attaining a full year’s worth of continuing education hours in one place.

Attendees were inspired to meet both their personal and professional challenges by speakers Robyn Benincasa, Melissa Stockwell and Daniel Pink. Benincasa and Stockwell both challenged attendees to never quit chasing their dreams, despite the setbacks that might happen. Their own stories of determination and grit—Benincasa a World Champion Adventure Racer and CNN Hero and Stockwell a World Champion Triathlete and 2016 Paralympic Bronze Medalist—left attendees energized and motivated. Daniel Pink closed convention by giving attendees practical takeaways they could implement immediately to better take advantage of the science of time. He was joined by leading experts in pain management talking about how massage therapists make a difference in the lives of others in this important time for the profession.

The speakers’ inspiring messages were reinforced by three days of high-quality continuing education classes, a variety of opportunities and an Exhibit Hall packed with the latest products!
