Summary of Results
Of the four publications studied,
only Massage Today is received personally addressed by a majority
of respondents (68.3%). About 30% of respondents receive Massage Therapy
Journal and Massage Magazine, and 21.85 receive Massage
and Bodywork.
Nearly one-half of all respondents
(47.0%) are regular readers of Massage Today who read at least 3 out of
4 issues. About one-fifth (20.8%) are regular readers of Massage Magazine
and Massage Therapy Journal, and 14.15 are regular readers of Massage
& Bodywork.
A majority (53.1%) are thorough
readers of Massage Today, who typically read half or more of the publication.
About one-fourth of all respondents are thorough readers of Massage Magazine
and Massage Therapy Journal, and fewer (17.9%) are thorough readers of
Massage & Bodywork.
The largest number of respondents
rated Massage Today as "excellent" or "good" for each
of the following qualities: overall usefulness to their practice, coverage
of massage industry news, and timeliness of information published.
