World Massage Conference, Nov. 12-17

By Editorial Staff

Join thousands of massage therapists in the largest event in the history of massage for a live conference without ever leaving your home. The World Massage Conference is a live, web-based massage conference that will be held November 12-17, 2009.

Participants can log onto the conference at any time for presentations from more than 70 experts in the field either live or at their own convenience from recorded broadcasts. (For those who do not have access to a computer, audio will be available by phone.)

More than 10,000 therapists have registered to listen to presentations from experts such as Leon Chaitow, Pete Whitridge, Tiffany Field, Whitney Lowe, Ruth Werner, Diana Thompson, CG Funk, Ann Catlin, David Kent, Debra Persinger, Eric Brown, Melanie Hayden, and many others on a variety of topics including: techniques, treatments, research, spa, business, self-care and education.

Melanie Hayden of World Massage Conference and conference presenter shares why it is important to be a part of this event: "The biggest advantage of the [conference] is the ability to learn from presenters from all over the world. It's the opportunity to have affordable, easily accessible and valuable education at your fingertips. As a presenter, I am thrilled to be able to experience this global interaction with the massage community."

Two Levels of Access

Participants may choose from two levels of access. "Basic access" provides access to: live audio presentations, video presentations, presenter notes, replays of all calls; and contest prize giveaways.

"Full access" includes basic access, plus the ability to: earn continuing education (CE) credits*, interact with presenters, interact with other participants, download presentations, access bonus presentations, access transcripts of selected presentations; and additional chances to win prizes. *Note: Check with your local regulatory organization to find out if presentations are eligible for CEs in your jurisdiction.

Participants will have access to all recorded presentations until May 31, 2010.

Discounts Available

Discounts are offered to members of various organizations such as Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, American Massage Therapy Association, the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, among others. Discounts are also available to those who refer others to sign up for the event.
