ISPA Asia-Pacific President Appointed to Board of Directors

By Editorial Staff

In May, Massage Today reported that the International Spa Association (ISPA) is dissolving its European and Asia-Pacific chapters as of Sept. 12, 2003 (www.massagetoday.com/archives/2003/05/11.html).

In an effort to smooth this transition, ISPA recently appointed Peter Sng, ISPA Asia-Pacific president, to a one-year term on the ISPA Board of Directors.

"Peter Sng is a respected spa professional who has served as president of the ISPA Asia-Pacific chapter since 1999," said ISPA President Jeff Kohl.

"By serving on the ISPA Board of Directors, Sng will ensure that spa professionals in the Asia-Pacific region continue to have a strong voice in the international association."

Sng has been credited with establishing Singapore's first resort spa in 1994, making him one of the first leaders in the Singapore and Asia-Pacific spa industries.

Additionally, Sng is the founder and managing director of Cosmoprof International and SpaCare International, chairman of the Technical Committee for Spa and Therapy Course at the Institute of Technical Education in Singapore.
