Spa Industry News

By Editorial Staff

Hilton Head Health Institute in Hilton Head, SC, recently partnered with the University of South Carolina to provide continuing education units (CEUs) to spa and health professionals.

Guests earn 6.2 CEUs for a one-week program at the institute, widely regarded as one of the top lifestyle management facilities in the U.S.

Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, HI, and management firm WTS International have partnered to introduce The Spa, a "haven of healing a rejuvenation." The 8,000 square-foot, sea-facing facility features six indoor treatment rooms; four outdoor cabanas; two massage rooms; a wet room; and two esthetician rooms, all with ocean views.

With an extensive restoration project nearly complete, Wentworth by the Sea Marriott Hotel & Spa in New Castle, NH, is set to reopen in spring 2003. The historic property, which first opened its doors in 1874, will include a full-service spa with treatment rooms; saunas; whirlpools; and indoor and outdoor pools.
