Day Spa Association Recognizes California Spa

By Editorial Staff

Glen Ivy Hot Springs & Spa of Corona, California received the "Distinguished Day Spa Award 2002" at the Day Spa Association's recent Spa and Resort Expo in New York City. Ms. Cindy Capen, spa director for Glen Ivy, accepted the award on behalf of the facility.

To be considered for the award, day spas must be accredited by the Day Spa Association.

Spas are judged on all aspects of operations, including spa menu; quality of service; overall spa atmosphere; and commitment to community, environment, humanity and the spa industry.

"Glen Ivy was one of our first accredited day spa members," enthused Hannelore R. Leavy, chairperson of the association's Day Spa Advisory Board. "They entered [the award competition] every year since the inception of this program in 1998. They surely deserve and earned this award."
