The Beaufort Hotel in Sentosa, Singapore will open an indoor/outdoor spa in October 2002. The 19,000 sq. ft. Spa Botanica will include six pavilions (offering mud and floatation baths) and 16 treatment rooms set in a 54,000 sq. ft. compound.

The new Robert Andrew Salon and Spa is scheduled to open in late spring in Gambrills, Maryland. The 22,000 sq. ft., two-level facility is being touted as the largest salon and day spa on the East Coast.

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan (Indonesia) recently opened three new Spa Pavilions. Among their many unique features, the pavilions offer couples the opportunity to enjoy simultaneous treatments, including private outside steam showers and soaking tubs.

Fairmont Spas, Inc., a subsidiary of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, has partnered with advertising agency The Sawtooth Group to announce the opening of several new spas. The Willow Stream Spas, as they are called, will open over the course of five months in locations such as Acapulco and Banff. Spas recently opened in Bermuda, Victoria, Scottsdale and Dubai.
