Share Your Story

By Editorial Staff

Massage Today offers its profound condolences to all those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. As a media source, perhaps the best way we can help in this time of crisis is by providing a venue for people to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Massage therapists have played a prominent role in the relief efforts thus far: the work of the American Massage Therapy Association's Massage Emergency Response Team (AMTA-MERT) in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania; individual therapists providing massage at the disaster sites, or donating massage services to fire and law enforcement agencies in their communities; massage and bodywork schools organizing fundraising drives; and so much more.

The top story in this issue (see details one such effort, but no doubt there are countless other stories yet to be told. If you've taken part in the relief effort, whether by providing massage at one of the disaster sites, organizing local relief efforts in your community, or assisting in some other way, we'd like to hear about it. To the best of our ability, we'll share your perspectives with our readership in the next few issues of Massage Today.
